Doç. Dr. Shemsi MORINA

Morina graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Pedagogy, at the “Hasan Prishtina” University of Pristina in 2003 with his bachelor’s thesis titled “Teachers and Their Characteristics.” He continued his academic studies at the same university, earning a Master’s degree in Pedagogical Sciences in 2010 with the thesis “Leisure Time and Its Use: A Study on Secondary Education Personnel in the Municipality of Malisheva.” Dr. Morina completed his doctoral studies at the European University of Tirana, successfully defending his thesis “Differentiated Teaching Strategies for Children with Special Educational Needs” in 2016, obtaining his PhD in Pedagogy and Psychology.

Pursuing a distinguished academic career, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shemsi Morina was awarded the title of Assistant Professor in 2017 and appointed Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education at “Ukshin Hoti” University in Prizren. He held this position until 2019, after which he served as Vice Rector for Teaching, Student Affairs, and Research at the same university. Strengthening his academic qualifications further, Dr. Morina received the title of Associate Professor in 2022, solidifying his place in Kosovo’s academic landscape. Morina has held prominent roles at Ukshin Hoti University, including chairing committees for postgraduate studies, strategic planning, statute amendments, research strategies, and the scientific council. Additionally, he actively contributed as a member of the Applied Sciences Policy Working Group within the Ministry of Education of Kosovo. Morina has authored two university textbooks, prepared numerous lecture notes, and published several scientific articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. His work has been highly praised in academic circles, and he has presented papers at various national and international scientific conferences, organizing significant academic events as well. As a specialist in pedagogy and education, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shemsi Morina continues to make significant contributions to the development of Kosovo’s education system through his knowledge, experience, and dedication.
